Susan Corke is an artist with a particular interest in investigating the role of the audience as a participatory factor in a theatrical type of viewing experience and how this form of interaction may be extended into supposedly passive art forms including illustration.
In 2007 Susan won a Ferdynand Zweig travel scholarship to undertake some practical creative research in the field of contemporary printmaking and illustration in northern Europe. Her travels in 2008 took her to Norway, Sweden and Finland. Susan was also the Artist in Residence at Amsterdam's Grafisch Atelier in November and December 2007.
She has worked in the media within both the print and digital publishing industries. She previously studied Fine Art, and Digital Arts (at the Centre for Electronic Arts), Middlesex University, and is a recent graduate from the MA Illustration Authorial Practice at University College Falmouth.
